Text Directions

From the North:

From Interstate 80 (runs East/West).

• Exit Illinois State Route 78 South to Farmington.
• Turn right (west) at the 4 way stop sign at the intersection with Illinois State Route 116.
• Proceed through Farmington business district to 4 way stop. The Subway sandwich shop will be on your right.
• Turn right and follow Illinois Route 116 West out of Farmington approximately five (5.0) miles to village of Middlegrove (not on most maps).
• See directions from Middlegrove below.

From Interstate 74 (runs East/West).

• Exit Illinois State Route 97 South.
• Proceed South through Maquon and Rapatee to stop sign at intersection with Illinois State Route 116.
• Turn left (East) onto Illinois Route 116 and proceed to Middlegrove (not on most maps).
• See directions from Middlegrove below.

From the South:

From Interstate 55 or 155.

• Proceed to Interstate 74 West, then follow directions from Interstate 74 above.
  
• You can exit Illinois Route 78 or 97 South.

From Illinois State Route 97.

• North on Illinois Route 97 to intersection of Illinois Route 116.
  
• Turn right (East) and proceed to Middlegrove.
  
• See directions from Middlegrove below.
  

From the East:

From Interstate 74 (you can exit Illinois Route 78 or 97 South).

• From Interstate 80 (exit Illinois Route 78) (see above)
  

From the West:

From Interstate 74.

• Exit Illinois Route 97 South and follow directions above.
  
• From Illinois State Route 116 proceed to Middlegrove and follow directions from Middlegrove below.

From Middlegrove:

• From the West (Route 116) turn RIGHT (SOUTH) onto Middlegrove Road which is the first street on the west edge of Middlegrove. There is an old Grade School on your right.
  
• From the East (Route 116) turn LEFT (SOUTH) onto Middlegrove Road which is the last street on the west edge of Middlegrove. There is an old Grade School building on your left.
  

ALL:

• Go south on Middlegrove Road approximately three (3) miles.
  
• Turn Right (West) onto Markley Road (3250N) located at the bottom of a small hill. (Black and White sign for Markley road)
  
• Proceed approximately 1.5 miles to a large yellow metal gate on the RIGHT. This is where you will be met.
  
• Turn Right (North) through the yellow gate and proceed at a slow speed (15MPH) to a blue metal gate (bear left at fork in the road and proceed through blue metal gate).
  
• Proceed approximately ½ mile.
  
• You will come to an orange gate in the electric fence on your right. Open this gate and proceed across the land bridge and up the hill to the cabin.
